CONGRATULATIONS!

NZSA Northland member Anna Williams has recently published another beautiful and poignant novel.

A young woman, Jenny Harwood, is coping with post-natal depression. She has also suffered a tragedy in her early years, due to her parents’ death, so Jenny is struggling with her emotions, thoughts and feelings towards her young baby. Her relationship with her husband and mother-in-law is sometimes fractured, and when a malevolent presence invades Jenny’s life, her very existence, and that of her baby, is threatened.

Message from Sherryl Clark

Nine boxes and bags of books were recently donated by generous and helpful NZSA Northland members for the prison library at Ngawha Correctional Centre.

Librarian, Sherril McNab, sent a very big thank you to everyone who contributed (and thank you from me as well for helping out). We did a big handover of all the books at Kawakawa Railway Station!

Author’s Note:

“This is not specifically an autobiography. Please view it as a smorgasbord of bite-sized offerings which reflect the essence of an unconventional life-voyage. They are a mix of savoury and sweet, ready to be tasted according to your whim. I hope these may sate the appetites of all the readers who hungrily devoured Snow Petrel and requested a back-story.”

KATHRYN MCFARLANE WRITES AS KATH FARR

Never Forgot You – Harbour Town Series Book 1

She’s searching for an anchor. He’s clinging to the remnants of a shattered family. Is their seaside encounter the start of a second chance?

Harbour Town, Australia. Liv Donato longs for a path forward. After losing her hand, her husband, and her only child in one devastating car accident, the once-lauded flautist struggles to find any joy in living. But when she returns to the quiet town where she grew up, the last person she expects to run into is the high school sweetheart who broke her heart. Determined to keep her fresh start from getting bogged down, Liv resists the old yearnings that stir every time they meet. And while Andrew finds the temptation of her mature charm irresistible, he’s terrified he’s about to make the same mistakes all over again. Will grief and grace combine to lead them to a happily ever after?

Never Forgot You is the steamy first book in the Harbour Town contemporary romance series. If you like characters with depth, slow-burn attraction, and tight-knit communities, then you’ll adore Kath Farr’s cocktail of sun, sea, and spice.

Kathryn Burnett – The Productive Writer Guidebook

Published by Patricia Fenton

“The way we were” I began my teaching career in New Zealand and later worked in international schools around the globe before being appointed to the International Baccalaureate with responsibility for authoring curriculum and professional development publications. In recent times, I’ve combined my passion for writing and education to produce my first novel, Beyond the Rimu Grove. My aim was to capture and communicate “The way we were.” I’m now working on my second novel entitled War Bride. It’s a fictionalized account of the life of my late mother-in-law, Pru Fenton who met and married her Kiwi soldier in Cirencester, England in 1942.
